Shipbuilder (m/f/d)

You read and understand shipbuilding drawings as the basis for your day-to-day work Working from drawings, you erect walls and frame beams for the ship’s hull You fabricate and align complex shipbuilding components such as sections and double bottoms Flame cutting, grinding and tack-welding components are part of your daily tasks You fit components precisely according to the drawings before they are welded You tack-weld walls, frame beams and other components together professionally You check the dimensions and fit of the fabricated components before further processing You play an active role in assembling individual sections into larger sub-assemblies You have completed an apprenticeship as a shipbuilder (m/f/d), metalworker (m/f/d), fitter (m/f/d) or hold a comparable qualification you have practical experience in flame cutting, grinding and tack-welding components you are also able to read shipbuilding drawings and work to them You have a basic knowledge of German, both spoken and written You demonstrate a willingness to work shifts and at weekends Technical understanding and manual dexterity come naturally to you The ability to work in a team, commitment, reliability and a self
