Your responsibilities you carefully deburr and machine precision components in accordance with you remove burrs, swarf and uneven surfaces safely and cleanly You’ll use various tools and methods, such as hand deburring tools, micro-grinding machines, brushes, blasting or vibratory finishing You’ll straighten delicate shafts with a steady hand and precision You carry out precise visual and metrological inspections of the components, checking aspects such as surface roughness, dimensions and edges You document your work reliably and in a traceable manner You liaise closely with production and quality assurance You set up and operate simple machines such as drills or polishing blocks You look after and maintain tools and equipment, including resharpening them What we’re looking for a completed technical or trade apprenticeship, e.g.
