Core Responsibilities: Development and optimization of technologies for radio astronomical data processing to detect transient sources in large-area sky surveys, e.g., MeerKAT and its extension, DSA2000, and the Lausitz-Array  Cooperation with the scientific departments of the DZA at the interface of radio and multi-messenger astronomy Exploitation of novel data science techniques, e.g., Bayesian methods, machine learning, data provenance Core Requirements: A PhD in Astrophysics or equivalent field of research. A focus on time-domain and/or multi-messenger astronomy is desirable A strong understanding of data calibration techniques, imaging and visibility-domain analyses Strong experience in preparing and handling science-ready data products from large-area sky surveys at radio frequencies, and implementation of multiwaveband research projects to investigate variable sources, including the use of openly accessible telescopes and satellites ------------------------------------------ In Kürze wird
