Your responsibilities You will set up CNC lathes for machining long, rotationally symmetrical precision components such as piston rods, shafts and spindles Using technical drawings, work plans and inspection documents, you will manufacture the specified components You will set up clamping devices, tailstocks, centres and powered tools to suit the respective workpiece You will adapt existing CNC programmes directly on the machine and optimise them as required You check and monitor fits, tolerances, form and position tolerances, as well as surface specifications, during production You check run-out, concentricity and threads using suitable testing equipment In the event of any anomalies, you liaise with production planning, quality assurance and maintenance You keep your workstation clean and organised in accordance with the 5S standards What we’re looking for You have completed an ap
