Machine Designer

The Machine Designer will work with mechanical, automation and controls engineers to help develop and implement new custom equipment and tooling to the manufacturing process. This position requires a wide range of experience with machining, machining equipment, automation, and 3-D software such as Solidworks.

The position will be based in our Southfield, MI headquarters with occasional travel to production facilities in Michigan reporting to the Control/Automation Manager. Translate written design concepts/sketches, product data, and customer requirements/standards into fully functional SOLIDWORKS designs.

Able to generate accurate Bills of Materials, and Detail Prints. Work in a collaborative environment with Engineering Managers, Manufacturing Manager, and Controls/Automation Manager.

Develop and evaluate potential solutions to engineering problems for feasibility, manufacturability, and optimal cost. Capable from design concept, through revisions, to final approved designs.
