Principal Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Join us as Principal Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) and work with us on changing the future! Own the embedded software architecture of laser communication terminal controllers and lead its evolution toward multi-waveform operation.

Define and maintain interface control documents (ICDs) between terminal software and external modem hardware, and drive alignment with technology partners. Design and implement new Pointing, Acquisition and Tracking (PAT) modes and operational state machines together with control systems engineers.

Set the technical direction, coding standards, review process and verification strategy for embedded software. Lead hands-on bring-up and integration on target hardware with electronics, FPGA and control teams.

Represent embedded software in design reviews and in technical meetings with customers and partners. Mentor engineers and build a strong embedded software capability in the team.

Required experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on professional experience in the field, including technical leadership. University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or a related field.
